Getting "Over" a bad Guru

"enduring situations that made you feel really bad" By the way, maybe because Elisabeth mentioned abusing situations or coincidentally, I must admit I only recently managed to read the complete Shraddha satsang that was once debated on this forum. The satsang could explanain at least part of the described Swampiji's behaviour. I previously argued the rules of its sadistic game. Now I decided I won't comment on it anymore because I feel I should give voice to others. I especially do not want to c...

Getting "Over" a bad Guru

I also lost willpower to do most of things I did when I was in the rising orange organization. Very much because of strong negative associations. On the other hand I channel my energy elsewhere as best as I can. And from time to time I check this site to read or write something which is for now the closest thing to satsang or mass for me. Last time I felt really unfortunate I reread the Desiderata poem which gently reminded me of facts of life while calming me down once again.

Past Evil Hidden Forever?

Judging by the persistent effort, which the DIDL is putting into covering up the YouTube videos posted on this site, they probably try to match the "well organized and high-budgeted international conspiracy of an team of IT professionals" with their own well organized and highly budgeted international team of IT professionals and lawyers. The Big Orange is undoubtedly well aware of the importance of the internet which brings DIDL live seminars to audience all around the world. In legal terms the...

How influence can have YIDL or some other such community on family

As many of us unfortunately found out there is a cult of personality behind nice yogic postures and their friendly words. I feel sorry for you and your children. I wish you to move on, to possibly find someone better. Don't worry about your ex husband. He is not worth it.

Yoga in philosophy and practice is incompatible with west and Christianity James Manjackal MSFS

Thanx PallasAthene! I guess our group is multicultural. Flamer is someone who is posting messages with intent to provoke an angry response over the topic the poster often has no interest in ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flaming_(Internet) ).

Yoga in philosophy and practice is incompatible with west and Christianity James Manjackal MSFS

I agree about the similarities completely. I want to talk about a social and a cultural differences since the maranatha flamer already brought it up. They may be outer layers but are mine. I won't throw away values and wisdom learned from my ancestors. I learned they are not worse than any others after all.

Yoga in philosophy and practice is incompatible with west and Christianity James Manjackal MSFS

YIDL does claim it transcends religions. However it really looks more like one of many Hinduist cults. Surely the Bible and the Bhagavad Gita have beautiful philosophies. But I would also agree that a person can only be whether Christian or Hinduist, not both at the same time. Thus the YIDL is not really bringing peace and freedom to the West, as it claims, but is in fact trying to colonize it on behalf of the religious leaders like the Swampiji.

Deaths

My condolences. In my book Roman and Cici will be remembered as a good guys who helped me in my life a great deal. I'm sad I will not be able to meet them in person some day. I hope other ex members stay alive much longer so I might have a better chance to get to know you.

More pluses than minuses

"One of the leading members JVVŽ she said ( she knew that this was really happening ) : I'm summing up the pluses and minuses and it is more and more pros !" I'm curious which are all the pluses and minuses. I guess the traditional role of women in DIDL society is so rewarding that it outweighs occasional rape by the master. Maybe she would willingly give herself up to the Swampiji monster in order to satisfy the greater good. What is 'one small sacrifice' versus superiority of DIDL way of life.

One of the Sickest Stories Ever Invented

Quoted from "falseswamiji" quote: "There is no abuse when all involved parties agree to participation" hmmmmm.. 'agree' is questionable. can somebody 'agree' if he feels no desire, will or power to confront you see , there's no really two parties involved in many relationships- for example: children are not able to express their will because they in most cases feel that parent or an older person should be obeyed ( abusive parents and pedophiles get use of this fact very often ) and they confuse...

Use or abuse of power

Here is my two cents. In principle it is simple to differentiate between the two: There is no abuse when all involved parties agree to participation. But as soon as the masochist side no longer agrees with the situation the game should be stopped. Or it becomes an abusive game because obviously the feedback is not respected. Thus it is primarily a matter of trust and respect and not the levels of pain the individuals can bear. In my experience the sadist side usually lacks a respect and trust wh...

Unwilling DIDL insiders

I would like to mention that one additional reason for not speaking is a fear of personal safety. Specially if you have experience of being spied upon by its members. When you realize the people are capable of doing something like this, you start asking yourself what else are they capable of. From this perspective stealing or abusing influence (inside or outside of the big orange organization) is not so hard to imagine. If you were their member long enough you are also spending a lot of your fre...

Shutting Down The Site

Huh, I am sorry to hear that. In my first post I wasn't aware I started to write here just in time for closing. As I said in the post I quit DLIY some three years ago when the sex scandal came public. I personally didn't learn about any such case so I didn't see a good reason I should speak. I also needed some distance. However this and sexabuseyidl.net site helped me to move on with my life much more quickly than I would without help. I am grateful for that. It was probably also a lot less expe...

YIDL Audience

I watched sexabuse site and this site since the first abuse scandals became public. It was in the middle of the economic crisis which caused DILY profits to decline. I never became bakhti but knew enough facts to put together a real image with your help. At first I became interested in yoga because I liked yogic exercise. Then over the years the company started to suck me in: new 'friends', routine, slow indoctrination, etc. Once it was mentioned that Swampiji is a father figure to their discipl...
